Biddle Conference Center
The POETIC 2012 Meeting venue is the Biddle Conference Center, located in the Indiana Memorial Union on the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, USA. The Biddle Hotel and Conference Center has nearly 100 years of special event experience, about 50,000 square feet of meeting space, and hosts more than 15,000 functions every year.
The Indiana Memorial Union, known on campus as the IMU, is a vibrant gathering place for students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests of the University. The original "Student Union" was founded in 1909 and construction of the present building began in 1931. IMU is one of the largest student unions in the world. A magnificent landmark, the IMU is the heart of IU, an educational institution, home away from home, and a gathering place. The Biddle Hotel and Conference Center was added in 1960. All rooms in the Conference Center are nonsmoking.
